Rules & training

Read this before promoting Fixly Guide. Following these rules keeps your commissions safe and protects contractors.

How commissions work

  • You earn 20%–30% of eligible membership payments during each referred contractor's first year. Your tier is set by each personal 30-day period — see the Terms.
  • A commission qualifies once the contractor pays their first month. It is then reviewed and approved before payout.
  • Payouts go to the method in your dashboard (PayPal, Venmo, Zelle or check).
  • Commissions are cancelled for self-referrals, fake signups, chargebacks, or any rule violation below.

Allowed

  • Share your personal link with contractors you know, work with, or serve (suppliers, trade groups, business coaches, marketers).
  • Post your link on your own website, newsletter, or social profiles with an honest description of the program.
  • Tell contractors the real price: $49.99/month or $499/year, cancel anytime, no refunds.
  • Mention that Fixly Guide is starting in Dallas–Fort Worth with up to 25 founding spots per trade.
  • Clearly disclose your commission right next to your link, e.g. "I earn a commission if you purchase a FixlyGuide membership through my link." In videos, say it and show it in the video itself.
  • Paid advertising that promotes Fixly Guide — only with our written approval first.
  • Send one-to-one emails or texts to people who have agreed to hear from you.

Not allowed

  • Promising or guaranteeing leads, jobs, income, or a specific number of homeowners.
  • Saying paying makes a contractor "verified" or "approved" — verification is a separate review.
  • Bidding on "Fixly Guide"/"FixlyGuide" brand terms or misspellings in ads, or using look-alike domains, social handles or ads.
  • Cookie stuffing, forced clicks, hidden tracking, bots, fake reviews or undisclosed paid endorsements.
  • Offering your own discounts, cashback or signup incentives.
  • Spam: bulk cold email, purchased lists, auto-DMs, comment spam, or texting without consent.
  • Referring yourself, your own business, or fake/unlicensed contractors.
  • Pretending to be Fixly Guide staff or using our logo in a way that suggests you are us.
  • Offering cash back, kickbacks, or splitting your commission to get someone to join.
  • Promising refunds, discounts, or rates we don't offer.

Training: recruiting the right way

  1. 1. Know who fits

Licensed, insured home-service businesses serving at least one DFW city or ZIP. Roofers, plumbers, HVAC, electricians, remodelers, handymen and more.

  2. 2. Explain it in one sentence

"Fixly Guide is a DFW homeowner platform — founding contractors get a profile and project requests for a flat $49.99/month, and can cancel anytime."

  3. 3. Send your link

Always use the link from your dashboard. Signups are credited to you for 60 days after someone clicks it on the same device.

  4. 4. Point them to the FAQ

Send contractors to the contractor FAQ so they understand pricing, cancellation and the no-refund policy before signing up.

  5. 5. Track your commissions

Your dashboard shows each contractor as Pending → Qualified (first month paid) → Approved → Paid.

Sample message you can use

"Hey [Name] — Fixly Guide is launching a contractor network in DFW. Founding members get a profile and homeowner project requests for $49.99/month, cancel anytime (no refunds). Only 25 spots per trade. Here's my link if you want to look: [your link]. Heads up, I get a referral fee if you join."
